Empires die as belief drains away: first from the crowd’s symbols, then the elite’s creed, then institutions that quit even pretending, until only inertia remains, and finally not even that.

Many people here in Ukraine have had a lot of info including video footage of the new anti-wing drones that are currently (still) showing excellent numbers. No one posted anything until we were sure that the enemy has enough intel to make these public posts worthless for intelligence.
May we read about you in the newspaper.. (c) Mossad

Needless to say it's a bad headline. A good headline would've been:

"Insiders: A month after a big dronewave neutralized over Poland - these are the hight tech systems allegedly responsible."
🇵🇱🇷🇴 Poland and Romania are deploying a new weapons system to defend against Russian drones, - AP

🇺🇸 American Merops system, which is small enough to fit in the back of a midsize pickup truck, can identify drones and close in on them, using AI to navigate.

If you believe that only the US populist right is deeply infiltrated by Lubyanka and populist left are somehow the good guys, I have bad news. Santa ain't real either.
That is an absolutely insane thing to say

Especially since the winner of the New York race is more reminiscent of a South American populist, than of a serious liberal.
mhmmm. I am not convinced. And am not joining the optimism. I'd warn any European from joining it either. The lessons from 2022 and 2024 is that the Americans are unreliable. And to bet on their return to normal is a losing bet.

Good. Happy to read the headline. The more they fuck themselves, the less there are left to murder us. Also: the topic is not worth your breath or anyone's listening time.

Better shine more light on what these animals do to POWs and civilian prisoners.

AI chatbot regulation absolutely has to include forcing providers to strip their models of the capacity to mimic a conversational tone. Every response should have to come with a warning that this is the product of a probability engine and nothing more.
Mimicking some kind of mental breakdown with ChatGPT is quite illuminating. The first response is to point you towards mental health resources, but if you angrily respond that this is not what you were asking for, it meekly and sycophantically apologises, and reverts to kowtowing.

I always found the term "Marxist Humanism" to describe Trotskyism funny, considering that Trotsky spent the Russian civil war rounding up villagers, locking them into their village churches, and setting those on fire to burn them alive. I guess that's how Marxists do Humanism.
I always thought that marxists that went into trotskysm or more into "marxist hummanism" were worth reading (don't know if that's the case of Djilas). At least I got the impression that they weren't the ones who descended into soviet-apologia, but I might be wrong

Another epic win for Realpolitik. Moving production (read - your freaking money) away from Communist China ... To Communist Vietnam. Because slavery is fine as long as your cheap goods are made by slaves you can't see and values are for suckers, right?
🇻🇳⚔️ Vietnam secretly made one of the largest arms purchases from Russia, - NYT

NYT investigation revealed a series of purchases of Russian military equipment by Vietnamese military, and significant shift in the official position as Hanoi distanced itself from Washington and moved closer to Moscow.

I bought 3 cars while my outsourcing teams were fixing shit this "ethos" left behind.

What is the difference between "greenfield" and "legacy"(code that first world snowflakes don't wanna work on)?

Legacy - is your 2 year old Greenfield project, after you move on to the next greenfield position.

Sorry, this is an idiotic post. That's a mobile fire group (better than trying to hit a subsonic wing with F35 while putting the pilots in danger of hitting debris btw) and the swamp is the only place that is still adequately protected. Here's a recent OSINT analysis on a map.

Wow! Disappointing? Why? This is great news - you've made my day, thank you! Surviving the current phase of this war is good, but I would like my son to grow up here and for that future we will need a modern air force. ❤️ Go yellow blue🇺🇦🇸🇪
Ukraine would then get around 20 planes per year for 5-7 years, with a final delivery date of 2035 - 2037.
This means that this is the NEW AIRFORCE of Ukraine, and not a quick wartime fix.
Don't be dissappointed, you fooled yourself on this one.

Lol. That's why you don't deploy EXPERIMENTAL tech to production.

When will we use fully automatic turrets on the front? - I wondered.

When they stop mistaking trees moving in the evening wind for enemy soldiers. - came an answer from a guy at a defense startup.

Impossible. Anschluß alone is where we were (Belarus suddenly opening a large second front), they were forced to give away their Slavjansk-Kramatorsk (Sudetenland) without a shot. We would've been equally fucked in such a situation.
You are like Czechoslovakia in 1938, but the difference is that you decided to fight. Part of me wonders if Czechoslovakia had fought back in 1938, if events had transpired in similar fashion to today.
So 3 years and 8 months. I remember long ago someone said: "you are just like in 1939. Hold on a little longer and allies will come". So where are we now on the timeline of dumbfuck comparisons currently?
