Over the years, the old story of the artistic ’60s has grown more and more threadbare, but no other story has taken its place. A Whitney show proposes a new history focused on surrealism.

Hey, get that flu shot. Knowing folks who are catching this current flu and it's kicking them in the teeth -- the shot will, worst case scenario, prevent it from taking you to the hospital or the morgue. It might knock it out quicker for you or even help you duck catching it. (Mask up, too.)

New in PN: Corporation for Public Broadcasting's patriotic goodbye

"We’re in thrall to a con man who denigrates the very idea of truth and uses media only to distract and divide. And so the CPB board members broke their plowshares lest they be beaten into swords by a deranged demagogue."

Samuel Alito flew two flags used by insurrectionists.

Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election.

Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the January 6th plot.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.

The late Robert Redford talked about his horror seeing an America he didn't recognise anymore, now we see it attacking eight different countries in the last year. Bertolucci's The Conformist is a relevant film about how weak-minded men are lured into fascism. 5/5

I just do not know what looking at Amazon sales rank is supposed to achieve for authors? Are you going to… rewrite that book you already wrote and published?

Don’t look at that stuff. Write the best book you can, move on to the next. Keep going until you don’t want to anymore.
not keeping OP's name in this as no desire whatsoever to beef but....these are choices you can already make? I got three books out, two of which were moderate successes and one of which was a genuine success, and I never spent any meaningful time worrying about Amazon - just choose not to care!
