word of advice to anyone reading: tokyo godfathers is never not free on whatever streaming service offers free titles. at this point it is easier to watch this on your own time than some of the canonized all-timers like charlie brown or grinch. heavily recommend making time for it

I got a new 2026 diary calendar. I love getting one every year. I got this one from TK Maxx they're good for finding unusual ones. I was really neglecting my this year edition but the excitement of wanting to write stuff in a new diary has encouraged me to get back into using the current one.

Someone's screenshot of a two-post twitter thread, from user blue (@bluewmist): the fastest way to kill motivation is to make your identity depend on the outcome. it's called ego involvement. when failing becomes failing as a person, your brain starts avoiding the whole thing. not because you don't care, but because you care too much. you don't need lower standards. you need less self-worth tangled up in your goals. the work gets easier when it's not about proving who you are.
