The SS was not abolished because the entire government that operated the SS was obliterated in a literal war.
Abolishing ICE, an organization that has never done any good and has no valid reason to exist and is only 23 years old, is something that you do with a still-existing governmemnt.

it's now been 5 years since I got covid and developed chronic nerve pain. after spending easily over $13k on doctors visits, surgery, and PT, I've gotten somewhat better in the past year, but there's still a lot that I'm unable to do without inviting hours or days of extra pain
