I felt like I'd been cheated out of incredible knowledge in my youth upon learning only ~5 years ago that there had been a computer in the '90s in Japan with the sick-ass name of "FM Towns." (See also the game console FM Towns Marty!)
FM Towns - The 'Hypermedia Computer'
The FM stands for Fujistu Micro rather than anything to do with sound (as I once thought it might). Fujitsu had a tradition of code-naming PC projects after Nobel Prize-winning physicists, so the Towns part refers to Charles Townes.

As much as I want Warcraft IV or something new, man it would make me so happy to see them suddenly say 'we're releasing a new Rock n Roll Racing this year. A team of 12 people built it internally in 6 months at a budget of under a million including music licensing. It'll sell at $10.'
