Too often when people see my mask they recoil, snicker or ask if I’m sick.
They almost never offer to put one on themselves (and this unfortunately includes healthcare workers).
Mask mirroring is a great way to demonstrate community care & mutual respect.
If someone is masking, they’re likely either sick, high-risk, or proactively avoiding covid. In all cases, joining them is wise!Putting on a mask in the presence of another masked person is a great act of solidarity and kindness.
