This is very cool. For no real reason at all I've now got my own PLC mirror locally, and I've pointed one of my WIP tools at it so I'm not hitting the main plc.directory with all my random testing.
We've released a self-hostable reference implementation of a PLC read-replica service to make the Atmosphere ever more decentralized. @retr0.id has details on what this all means.

Fitter. Happier. And more productive.
Wild that a sitting member of Congress, a Republican no less, feels compelled to post this.

It was honestly bad enough seeing this multiple times on the news on TV, and now it's on my coffee table.

On the plus side, Royal Mail delivered it on time for the first time in months.

Inspired by some posts I saw recently about @standard.site I wondered if I could use this as a source for a SSG to effectively replace Hugo for generating my blog.

Well, it turns out that was pretty straightforward.

I think at this point the UK has accepted Paddington as the Death Bear, collector of souls. So, I think as a nation we should start smearing marmalade on the eyes of the dead and whisper “fare for the crossing”. It’ll feel weird now but, in three of four generations, no one will question it.

There's been musings on TalkBass for a while about whether Ernie Ball Music Man would do anything for the StingRay's 50th anniversary.

Well... they did it. They made the C3-PO of bass guitars. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DiYu...
