Selbst die rechte Meloni-Regierung hat den hohen Bedarf an Niedrigqualifizierten erkannt. Deutschland irrlichtet dem Abschwung entgegen.

That’s true for both Ukraine and Europe: there aren’t enough interceptors to sustain a missile defense-centric strategy.

Instead, they must shift to a deterrence posture in the missile domain that relies on the threat of imposing unacceptable costs rather than denial.

There's a lotta concern about the short run (ie recession or not) implications of Trump's agenda. Dani is right to point to the long run as far far more consequential.
Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

Das ist wirklich ziemlich grotesk. Es geht hier um ≈ 5 Millionen Tonnen CO2, die jetzt aufgrund bürokratischer Probleme offenbar nicht eingespart werden. Zumal die Betreiber zudem noch 650 Millionen € Stilllegungsentschädigung bekamen.

🇩🇰 Denmark today increases the defence budget with 50bn DKK (6.7bn EUR) plus 10bn DKK (1.3bn EUR) extra per year until 2033 going 2.4% of GDP in 2024 to 3.2% in 2025. As discussed probably 50bn more is needed for acquisition.
