Bond canon is like the X-Men comics. Started in the 1960s and continues to the present day but everything is happening in a relative "Now" in a weird stretchy timeline. But also all of the events of the non-Craig Bond films from Dr No to Die Another Day happen between Spectre and No Time To Die.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

after every protest march there’s a load of surprised posts about how the media ignored the march. the media are never bothered (unless they’re trying to smear people). marches are the permitted form of protest because they usually have no impact on those in power.

If Gene Roddenberry was still alive and running Star Trek, I guarantee we'd be getting thinly veiled allegories about anti-vaccine bullshit or xenophobia. It would not be subtle. It would hit reasonably hard. People would complain endlessly that Star Trek had gotten too progressive.
