This happens every single time. Straight out of the authoritarian playbook and used in the US for decades. The right will deliberately create violence at these protests to make the left look bad and turn the country against protesters. IDK the solution, but don't play into this.

The Fort Bragg thingis extremely bad but the fact that they screened the soldiers for political views is key. The propaganda is meant to make us afraid. Don’t be complacent but don’t be fooled either.
Really important story - army officials asked soldiers to identify themselves if they don't agree with Trump's politics that way he'd get only supportive soldiers in uniform during his political rally on base. Heavier soldiers were also barred from participating.
