I met with Aissatou Diallo, a constituent from Corona, who was recently detained by ICE while boarding a flight—despite breaking no laws. The way she was treated was unacceptable, and her experience reflects what far too many immigrants in our community have faced this year.

When USPS agreed to address mail theft in Queens, I expected timely action. After months of delays, criminals are still stealing checks, credit cards, bank and personal information, medication, and personal items. It has to stop.

The Trump Administration had 30 days to release the Epstein files.

Now, he is breaking the law to cover it up.

The American people deserve transparency. Survivors deserve justice.

The delay means the White House is in apparent conflict with a law President Donald Trump signed in November.

The VA has already lost thousands of employees this year. Cutting even more position only hurts the veterans in our communities waiting for care and support.

Those who sacrificed everything to serve our nation deserve better than a barebones health care system.
VA plans to abruptly eliminate tens of thousands of health care jobs
Strains on the Veterans Affairs system could grow with the elimination of as many as 35,000 mostly unfilled health care positions, including doctors and nurses.

I wholeheartedly reject the demonization & scapegoating of the Muslim American community, who are our neighbors, coworkers, veterans, & fellow citizens.

The rhetoric we've seen from elected officials is dangerous & un-American. We must stand united against extremism in all its forms.
