Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson, one of the greatest comic strips of all time, was born on this day, November 18, 1985 -- December 31, 1995.

And Calvin's dad remains a beacon of inspiration to cyclists everywhere.

I watched the movie Zodiac for the first time. I was so confused because I went into it thinking Jake Gyllenhaal was playing the killer. I waited for the twist almost the whole way thru

The important thing is not whether the Trump performing sexual favors for Bill Clinton thing is true. The important thing is that we all pretend it’s true, and that someone asks Trump about it every day.

Reporters be liek: "Mr. President, have you completely ruled out doing this heinous thing that will definitely generate a lot of attention?!"
Trump just told reporters on Air Force One that he hasn’t ruled out a pardon for Ghislane Maxwell

When I see "faith leader arrested," and now when I see, "Michael Wolf arrested," I kind of think it's going to be for one particular type of crime, and this wasn't it

Given our current reality, there’s no type of bicyclist ticketing that makes sense from a data-supported traffic safety prioritization perspective. All the most significant issues are related to drivers. Any activity that takes the focus away from these issues is detrimental to overall safety goals.

This is actually good spin, or would have been. But the fact that the Democratic cave happened without even a coordinated, agreed-upon message like this indicates the depth of the leadership void.

A friend of mine has a Fed job and her spouse moved out of state for a temp Fed job and they didn't get reimbursed for expenses before the shutdown. Since then, they have been supporting both houses so Chuck Schumer can read a strongly worded surrender with his glasses comically low on his nose
Hearing from more people after this went out.

"We're all pissed. This was a lot of unnecessary stress on people and their families for nothing. And if I win the lottery tonight I absolutely will spend millions to hire people to follow these 8 Dems around for a year and make their lives miserable."
I heard from a bunch of federal employees last night and this morning. They aren't happy.

"I would rather be an actual pawn. At least pawn sacrifices are calculated and achieve something. All this for a fucking meaningless vote."
