Actually it answers questions.

If the questions have already been raised, they don't get raised further still, they get answered.

The institutional Democratic Party is guided by an almost pathological level of conflict avoidance in almost every direction. “What can we do to make the least number of people mad?” is just a bankrupt way to operate.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

Literally do not get the surprise here. Should have been on everyone's bingo board since at least 2015
words I never imagined writing in my lifetime.....

General Sir Richard Shirreff, the former Nato deputy supreme allied commander in Europe, has told Times Radio:

"I think we have to assume, after the events of the last 10 days, that we cannot in any way count on America as an ally"

If I could blame one journalistic tic for the mess we're in, it's regarding random posts on social media as indicative of Democratic campaign strategy.
Wild to me that the dominant reaction on here seems to be that this is bad journalism because it treats a Trump voter as a human. I'm not a strategist but if you belong to a party that wants to win elections, shouldn't you regard folks like this as part of your next coalition instead of the enemy?
People’s reactions to these stories tend to be of the leopards-eating-faces variety but this is a great piece of reporting in part about how voters very disconnected from politics make their choices.

We're in the midst of the most extraordinary scream test of all time.
Elon Musk's DOGE team of misfits have fired everybody at the Federal Aviation Administration ✈️ who is a probationary employee

Thinking they have got rid of all the new hires

It turns out many of these were experienced technicians, recently promoted and were on probation for their new senior role

Every accusation, a confession
Trump: "I don't think you can work from a home. Nobody is gonna work from home. They are gonna be going out, they're gonna play tennis, they're gonna play golf, they're gonna do a lot of things. They're not working."

You want some more fun? Here's another prediction, if they start deporting citizens who are wards of the state (prisoners), party affiliation will be a factor they consider.
Yo, I fuckin called this shit months ago. If this news surprises you don't bother opining about what Trump is doing/thinking because it's not hard and you're bad at it.

NEW: I just moved to subpoena Elon Musk to appear before the Oversight Committee to answer for his unlawful takeover of agencies across the government.

Republicans blocked my motion without allowing any debate.

They will stop at nothing to cover up Elon Musk's lawlessness.

Move fast, break things is a really bad approach to anything airplanes. Not sure if people know that.
Now I really feel unsafe to fly. Seriously. I was debating a flight to a conference next month. This made my decision for me. I am canceling. Sorry United. You'd better protest. Stop them. Stop them NOW!

Republicans ran into the room to SHEILD Elon Musk from having to come and speak to Congress. They want their billionaire takeover done behind closed doors. The people deserve transparency. No one elected Elon Musk.
I’m in Oversight Committee right now. Ranking Member Connolly just called for a vote to subpoena Elon Musk. Republicans out-number us on this committee, but many aren’t in the room. We’ll see who wins this vote. We deserve transparency and answers.

if the president can say “i don’t like the department of energy,” and within a week it’s closed, then the constitution means nothing, and the president’s entire claim to power is the loyalty of the military. either he is constrained by the constitution or he’s a dictator, there isn’t a middle ground

Most acute to me is that they're clearly taking the Musk/Twitter handbook to Gov labor reduction which is one thing to trim fat, but Musk never made it appealing to work for Twitter/X so reasonable to assume the whippings will continue until morale improves
