If I could blame one journalistic tic for the mess we're in, it's regarding random posts on social media as indicative of Democratic campaign strategy.
Wild to me that the dominant reaction on here seems to be that this is bad journalism because it treats a Trump voter as a human. I'm not a strategist but if you belong to a party that wants to win elections, shouldn't you regard folks like this as part of your next coalition instead of the enemy?
People’s reactions to these stories tend to be of the leopards-eating-faces variety but this is a great piece of reporting in part about how voters very disconnected from politics make their choices.

Most acute to me is that they're clearly taking the Musk/Twitter handbook to Gov labor reduction which is one thing to trim fat, but Musk never made it appealing to work for Twitter/X so reasonable to assume the whippings will continue until morale improves
