What do I see when I swim? 🏊‍♂️👀

It's not just the black line marking the center of the lane, a static point of reference as I go back and forth each lap.

It's also the dance of sunlight and water, constantly moving, shimmering on everything below the surface - beauty in motion ☀️🌊✨ 😌

My kids and I have enjoyed reading The Hobbit before bedtime, encountering new adventures each night during our journey there and back again with Bilbo 🧙‍♂️🐉💎✨

I closed out this year with laps at the pool where I first joined a swim team 🏊

Every swimming pool "feels" a little different, so it was funny to notice as I swam today how I quickly the feeling of this pool came back ☺️

I usually swim laps at lunchtime, when I enjoy the warmth of the sun on my skin and the shimmer of sunlight on everything below the water's surface ✨

But swimming in the evening isn't bad either - the glow of the pool and festive lights outside the fitness club are pretty too ☺️
