every time i see a white guy in their fifties radicalized by the twitter algorithm into racism and extremism i think about how it's a total failure of the youtube algorithm to instead radicalize him into home brewing, elaborate A/V setups, or DIY solar

They work for us. We pay taxes that pay their salaries.

Hell, teachers’ salaries are public information.
Tillis says he opposes ICE being barred from wearing masks: "I've seen people dox me. I've seen people take pictures and identify law enforcement officers and then put their families at risk. So, I think that's a step too far."

These really need to be p-shopped with what Melania had written on the back of her coat.
I'm starting to think the Trumpist mastery of propaganda is failing them. The DHS agents posing this way makes it look like they're ashamed of themselves.

Obstruction of Justice was one of the Articles of Impeachment on Nixon.
New: DHS now says that two weeks of missing surveillance footage from ICE's Broadview Detention center isn't "missing," it was never recorded in the first place and thus can't be produced in an abuse lawsuit. An utter shitshow:

For those Dems that don't want to use the word "abolish" (looking at you @jbpritzker.bsky.social):

-ICE has been corrupted beyond repair. It must be dissolved.

-Customs responsibility, as created in 1789, will return to the Treasury Department.

-Immigration will return to the Department of Labor.

Dems have the easiest wedge issue in the world here.

"We are the party of small government."
Amid growing calls for the abolition of ICE, Rep. Delia Ramirez is calling for the entire DHS to be dismantled. Highlighting how much experience the officers who killed Renee Good and Alex Pretti had, Ramirez said, “DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity.”

“The problem isn’t ‘training.’ DHS was built to violate our rights,” said Rep. Delia C. Ramirez.

It always comes back to the primaries.

One of the main ways to solve the problems in our leadership is to get rid of partisan primaries. Ranked choice voting does this. This is why you saw Indiana vote to make ranked choice primaries illegal.

It’s a party protection scheme.
Republican politicians know that incurring the president’s ire is a career-threatening act, given the devotion of the party’s MAGA base and the risk of being ejected in primaries

Republicans either fear the president’s ire, or want to strengthen his bargaining position

Build Back Better

Not brilliant.
Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.
