I’ve got a series of drawings I’ve been working on for 4 years now in the late evenings after the kids are asleep. Mostly 3 ftx3ft wide. They take months to make and are just for my own satisfaction of making them.

embroidery is a wonderful hobby for parents looking for a artistic outlet. It’s the right balance of focus and open brainspace. Pretty cheap to get into. And it’s easy to feel productive even if you only get 10 minutes at a time. This 9” round and has been my ongoing project this month.

This world is a Rorschach test. And when people act like being terrible is human nature, they treat people terribly- putting them in conditions that make for worse responses- thereby proving their point.
Wisdom vs knowledge: you need to spend your 20s as a radical nominalist in order to unlearn dominant ideology. “Human nature” doesn’t exist, everything is a social construct, etc. But as you creep towards 40 you start to realize that sometimes two contradictory things can be true at the same time

This is called “chain refoulment” and it’s illegal under both U.S. and international law. And the State Department and ICE know very well what Ghana is doing and simply don’t care.
ICE deported a woman who owned a home in the US for 30 years. A judge banned ICE from deporting her to Sierra Leone where she had been tortured, so it deported her to Ghana, which kidnapped her and sent her back Sierra Leone anyway. ICE is part of this illegal conspiracy.
