goodness mcdaniels was hapless. all mike had to do on those third downs was show pressure to dictate the patriots protection count then choose who he was gonna 2v1 and drop the unneeded rushers to stay +2 in coverage.

When Mike Macdonald got hired his vision was for a signature Seahawks offense. He mentioned this again the other day. Kind of surprised he's so committed to that idea that so far they're only talking to coaches already on their staff for the OC job.

in terms of volume, seattle faced the 5th most 2nd and >5s this year compared to the 28th most last year.
their performance on 2nd and >5 is basically the same
nwosu and lawrence fixing their 1st and 10 run defense + mike's run blitzes/bear-front wrinkles won them the superbowl
pretty neat
