How quickly academic spaces--conferences, workshops, department meetings, other interactions--begin to grumble about hybrid modes gave me whiplash.

"We prefer you be here in person"
"We are trying to ensure in-person meetings"

Telling us who you think is worth including/excluding.
The speed with which Covid isn't a thing any more in academia was very eye opening.
