I have spent the last two weekends (and the Thurs and Fri last week) locked into reading for and writing research methodologies for two different projects 7am - 9pm*. I like exercising my hyperfocus powers but now my eye socket hurts.

On Intersex Remembrance Day, we remember past harms and celebrate progress. Europe has taken a historic step and adopted the first-ever Recommendation protecting intersex people’s human rights. Here’s Kitty Anderson, co-chair of European intersex organisation @oiieurope.org, on what this means.

Do not send emails to an autistic person last thing on a Friday suggesting substantial reframing of project, just to box your to do list off before the week end, leaving days with no recourse to engagement or clarification. Just saying.

I had a v thoughtful, sharp and helpful studio visit from Marcella Lista from Centre Pompidou. When curators think with you, alongside you, it's the best. Such a gift of intellectual labour as though there is a common project to making work irrespective of commission etc.

£10k is not enough for a book prize I don't think. It needs to be valued as a year off work imho

Watched an Italian film. Went shop and bought a packet of this mortadella they were making a fuss about. Tried some and put it in the fridge. Went back to the fridge, had another piece. Went back to the fridge x4. All gone before lunchtime.

Gets under my skin that arts funding seems to be tied to lack of health and welfare provision.

All sorts of problems with this tethering.

Today is penultimate reading group for this historical materialist account of disability in UK.

I started the Disability Praxis Reading Group because I felt I knew nothing of a 'shared' history, but recognised a shared struggle. And I was p lonely in France.

Nice straightforward review. At the end it focuses on a sound work by Éireann and I that I selected along with curator Iarlaith Ní Fheorais (call centres, immigration, language, precarity) for commission as part of Platform Commissions for 41st EVA International.
