A podcast that is only, or primarily, on YouTube isn’t a podcast if you can’t watch that video without being on YouTube. The word “podcast” specifically *means* not being beholden to any tech giants like YouTube/Google/Alphabet. anildash.com/2024/02/05/w...

I personally think the podcast medium is overstimulated for interviews and underutilised for beautiful atmospheric dramatic storytelling. But that’s probably just me.

Anyway, a great show for beautiful atmospheric pieces of storytelling via audio was BBC shortcuts. I wrote and read out a story about being a woman on the internet and being stalked here and they turned it into a terrifyingly beautiful work of art.
