Almost anything can be treated as a map. Projections, charts, and diagrams are all ways of flattening the world so we can understand.

But the real magic happens when we enjoy those maps together. MAPS FOR KIDS is here! Let's meet our three maps: visionarypress.com/pages/maps-f...

ICE is currently holding around 80,000 detainees. Nazi Germany didn't reach this number in its formal camp system until 1942, nine years after seizing power and three years into the war.

Russia faces an increasing problem of replenishing casualties,

Another example of a basic, amateurish chart going viral because it makes a point really well. I wonder if it would be more or even as popular if it was polished. Honest question.
When people talk about how systemic and structural issues don't exist but the data all looks like this.

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

When animals like hedgehogs, pangolins and potato bugs (AKA rolly pollies or sow bugs) curl up into a defensive little ball it's called "Conglobation." Because they roll up into a cute little globe.

I sold an original hand-made artwork today.

There's now a handful of my hand-typed elevation maps in private and institutional collections. Message me if you want in on this particular flavor of cartographic excellence. Serious inquiries only!—These are not easy to make.
