⚡️Today, Zelenskyy (unofficially) said: The US in Abu Dhabi proposed extending the energy ceasefire until the next meeting, and Ukraine agreed. Russia paused to "think it over," and then launched a massive shelling last night—it looks like a de facto refusal, — UP.

Just when you need to get some obscure facts about the nations of the world, the CIA World Factbook was always really handy. Another bigly win for MAGA, I guess

When the party line shifts, Republican voters move with the party. MAGA Republicans are Communists in USSR
And the trend goes both ways, by the way.

The US government is telling Americans to hate Europeans and Canadians. And many have dutifully changed their opinions.

We need full investigation into Epstein files and UK politics!
Lots of things are beginning to make sense now. Given Mandelson’s role in the People’s Vote, and his proximity to Epstein and his MAGA/Russian ties, no wonder they dismissed @carolecadwalla.bsky.social on Cambridge Analytica/Vote Leave and our joint investigation into Russian interference

Many Ukrainian athletes will never be able to participate in the Olympics because they were killed by Russia. And while the world celebrates and has fun, people in Ukraine are still suffering under constant bombing, with no heat or electricity.
But Ukraine stands...

Russia’s war-time boom is fading. IMF now sees sub‑1% growth in 2025–26, the weakest since post‑Crimea sanctions, as oil prices fall and sanctions bite. #Trade #Economics

1/ Steeper discounts on Russian crude are testing India’s informal oil trade understanding with the US. Cheaper barrels raise pressure on New Delhi to buy more, potentially undercutting Western efforts to limit Moscow’s revenues. (Sources: Bloomberg Markets) #Trade #Economics

The EU report (www.eca.europa.eu/en/publicati...) on the supply chains of critical minerals demonstrates its dependency on the global supply of materials.
February 3, 2026 at 8:40 AM
1/ The EU’s 2030 renewables goals hinge on critical minerals the bloc mostly imports from China and Russia. A new European Court of Auditors report, covered by multiple credible sources (1), warns this structural dependence threatens strategic autonomy. #Trade #Economics

The fact that characters like Kisin got airtime on national TV tells about how dysfunctional the UK media became. Loudmouth who is no expert in anything - at some point he was professional Ukrainian ("my grandma is from Ukraine"), now he is "I just ask questions" contrarian cultural warrior
Konstantin Kisin straight up lying on #bbcqt

Douglas Alexander: “When Fraser Nelson put it to you that Rishi Sunak is absolutely english… you said “he’s a brown Hindu, how is he english?”

Kisin: “No, that’s not what I said...”

The US has discovered that trade wars, much like towels, work best when applied with precision. Having realised that hitting everything Canadian merely resulted in Canadians discovering the EU and China exist, they've now opted to specifically target airplane manufacturers

🇺🇦 Zelensky: Today we honor the memory of our heroes – the Heroes of Kruty. The defenders who held back the Bolsheviks’ attack on Kyiv on January 29, 1918.

They stood against a much stronger enemy… At Askold’s grave, I paid tribute to the heroes.

WP inspired by Greenland tariff: if the benefit of owning Greenland (G) is sufficiently large for the US, the EU must put upfront a "nuclear option" that would be asymmetric for the cooperative equilibrium of "good old status quo" to be sustainable and credible.

In a dynamic world of import tariffs (who would have thought), it is important to model various scenarios and plan for retaliation. Our work shows that UK alone is not able to impact US policy and should do it with like-minded countries.

Russia - colossus on clay feet. The arc of history is clear: The Russian empire had kept falling apart since 1917, but at slower pace after 2000
Innovative Russian technologies. The main base of Russia’s Northern Fleet (which Putin constantly uses to threaten other countries) has been connected to electricity via wooden poles, after the previous supports installed in the 1960s collapsed.

Russia negotiating by attacking passenger train and killing civilians.
🙏 Zelensky: Russia attacked a passenger train in the Kharkiv region. In any country, a drone strike on a civilian train would be viewed as terrorism.

In particular, there were more than 200 people on that train. And there were 18 people in the car that was hit. 4 people died…
