i take frenzy damage every time i see someone go "well i just use it for the boring stuff". what are you TALKING about? if it's boring or unimportant, why are you putting it in? NPC dialogue is fertile ground for worldbuilding, creating verisimilitude, conveying important information, and hijinks!!

I mean is there any reason to buy COD on pc anymore? COD is exactly the type of game that game pass users will benefit from buying it yearly. Or not even monthly, since most users nowadays play 3 or 4 months and then go back to Warzone, which is free.

PSA to anyone thinking about playing where the wind meets , I was recommended to try it out by friends but found out that it had AI chatbot npcs and uninstalled immediately. Posting here to let people know since the game itself does not openly say it uses AI and it wasted my time today .

The UK is considering a policy that would effectively segregate trans people from society. It would bar trans people from "single sex spaces" even when they use the facility of their sex assigned at birth.

linkedin is just post after post of my talented & experienced colleagues being laid off, and interesting projects desperate for funding. meanwhile more AI-hype layoffs are in the pipeline & no investment in new audiences. i've had in 10+ years in the industry and this feels like the bleakest time
