It’s not just obscene, but I’d go as far as to say extreme inequity is our (and the developed world’s) most significant problem; the issue that must be addressed first if we are to be healthier, wealthier, more secure, and more sustainable.

Blaming vaccines is easier because it feels like it’s something controllable. Covid is airborne and this is a much more concerning reality. There is no need to panic, we have the science to prevent. Problems can only be fixed however, when we are able to talk about them.

It was reprehensible when people mocked condom usage at the height of the AIDS pandemic.
It is just as depraved to mock those wearing masks to reduce the spread of airborne viruses today.
