Scotland has passed a law that all new buildings must install ‘swift bricks’ which are hollowed out bricks to help nesting swifts and other endangered birds! Swifts are especially endangered because so many chimneys now have chimney caps. Swifts return to the same nesting spot year after year.

I can't believe it's been 1 year, around this time last year I was struggling taking product photos of the first stickers I'd be selling. It's been an exciting year, lots of lessons that I'm grateful for, and the last few months have been slow but I'm sure the shop will come back better soon!

Die Ostsee... Kaum zu glauben. 🤔😳😍😆
Auf meinem Foto liegt die Ostsee wie in einem seltenen Zwischenzustand, als hätte der Winter für einen Moment beschlossen, das Meer selbst anzuhalten. Der Strand ist nicht mehr Sand, sondern eine aufgebrochene, gefrorene Fläche, deren weiße und graue Schollen sich wie erstarrte Wellen übereinanderschieben. Die Sonne steht tief und klar über dem Horizont, ein heller Punkt in einem Himmel, der von feinen, zerfaserten Wolken durchzogen ist. Ihr Licht glitzert auf den rauen Eisflächen, als würde jede Rille und jeder Riss kurz aufleuchten. In der Ferne bewegen sich ein paar Menschen wie kleine, dunkle Silhouetten über diese unwirkliche Landschaft, fast so, als würden sie über einen zugefrorenen See wandern. Rechts zieht sich eine Baumlinie entlang, dunkel und still, und dahinter erheben sich sanfte Hügel, die den Blick einrahmen. Alles wirkt weit, ruhig und gleichzeitig voller feiner Details, die nur ein Wintertag an der Küste hervorbringen kann – ein Moment, der gleichzeitig hart und zart ist, kalt und doch von Licht durchwärmt.
