Many of the reports of those murdered by the Islamic Republic in Iran this month include the note that the protester/freedom fighter was shot from behind, which suggests they were likely gunned down by the regime while fleeing.

This makes these crimes by the regime even more egregious.

Just occurs to me the Epstein files are probably in that Mar a Lago bathroom. And the files that were there earlier? A hoarder’s delight. “All mine” is his motto. This is the image that always leaps to mind when I think of him (really, he’s just a few Big Macs away)

It's now been 44 hours of complete black out. The Iranian government has cut off all communication channels for the people of #Iran. We can't contact our families inside. We have seen what has happened the last time such a #DigitalBlackoutIran happened: 1500 people were slaughtered in three days.
⚠️ Update: It's now 8:00 am in #Iran where the sun is rising after another night of protests met with repression; metrics show the nationwide internet blackout remains in place at 36 hours, severely limiting Iranians' ability to check on the safety of friends and loved ones 📵

Some thoughts on what Trump has done in Venezuela and what it might mean for US national security. Caveat: not a Latin America scholar so this is focused on US policy. Clearly huge consequences for Venezuela that others can address.

First, despite the buildup, I didn't think Trump would do it.

This is a nuts story. An AI chatbot and image platform left millions of images exposed. They show what people are actually using the AI for: taking random women's yearbook, graduation, and social media photos and making super realistic hardcore porn with them

January 6th was the most dramatic part, but the real coup (and real treason) was in the fake electors scheme. The riot was only to create a sense of crisis, whereas the fake electors would directly nullify the election.
January 6 was like a much dumber version of Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch and yet a plurality of American voters were like, Yeah, let’s give that guy the nuke codes again. An absolutely world historical debacle of societal ignorance. I’ll never understand it.
