Hey ABs:

Pt’s are literally dying in our ED WRs, and one of the biggest bottlenecks in our acute care system are the pts who are STRANDED in hospital - their acute care is complete but they cannot go home to independent living.

This is the head of Donald Trump's paramilitary force. What's with the Russian style coat? Was it part of the Vladimir Putin starter kit for despots and dictators?

Let's have some fun, folks.

National Post comment editor Carson Jerema wrote a dreadful column about -- what else -- pipelines. I'm going to take it out to the woodshed.

Reminder that these kind of door-to-door “general warrants” are both explicitly illegal and also a major trigger for the American Revolution.
A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming

Just a reminder: these photos federal agents are taking are part of a growing surveillance state w no oversight. Agents use facial recognition, phone tracking, license plate readers, fused government databases built by contractors like Palantir. What was tested on immigrants is expanding to citizens

If ACA can coordinate provincial responss like postponing scheduled surgeries than why hasn’t it done it?

Matt Jones admits there is “provincial oversight” and “shared dashboards.”
Govt is watching 171% capacity and 88-hour ER waits in real time, yet only 6 surgeries were postponed.
This isn’t mismanagement. IT IS A CHOICE. #ABleg #ABpoli #Cdnpoli #MattJones

This needs to be investigated.
So Aaron, I came across an article from 2014. Between 2010 and 2012 US border agents stepped in front of vehicle 62 times to justify shooting. Guess whose name is mentioned Jon Ross has been under review for repeatedly doing this

An internal review of the US Border Patrol raises serious questions about the agency’s use-of-force policy.

I received a message from an Alberta ED colleague that stopped me cold. He treated a very elderly pt - a retired Charge Nurse who began her career as WWII ended. She waited 8 hours in the WR for care. Her assessment of our current reality is devastating....

As the right-wing meme page Canada Proud was posting calls to "DEFUND THE CBC," the same PR firm behind it was being indirectly funded by CBC journalists’ own union dues.

Yeah. And that's not all.

So I’m teaming up with my friends at @nationalobserver.com to tell you all about it:

incredibly clear to me that they released the video not because they necessarily think it shows the officers innocence, but because it shows two gay women confronting a man

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

34 titles were removed by the Edmonton Public School Division, and 44 were removed by the Calgary Board of Education:
