We've complained to the Competition and Markets Authority about how US tech giants are, to maximise their profits, allowing pre-schoolers to access age-inappropriate apps.

On the anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, we thought we'd answer a question that's often asked,

"If they raised the Mary Rose, why not raise the Titanic?"

🧵 I want to follow up this earlier thread by examining why the USA finds itself in the state it does at the moment; the process of disordered discourse capturing state institutions and how it inevitably results in a slide towards authoritarianism, a process we're seeing unfold before our very eyes.
What we’re witnessing in America is what happens when disordered discourse captures a political party, then the state itself. The Republican Party was the first to fall - abandoning truth for conspiracy, ideology for grievance, and policy for performative outrage.

Wyoming Republicans have banned so-called “compelled speech” regarding pronouns. No one, they proclaimed, should be forced to use someone’s preferred pronouns. And yet, when Senate Chairman Tim French was addressed as “Madam Chairman”, he was not pleased. Not one bit.

Amen. The Six Nations should get heat for making a stupid decision, but ultimately this all comes back to 14 years of a Conservative government breaking down the country and selling it off for scrap. The BBC is criminally underfunded, and live sport is the most expensive sector in modern TV.
Before too much blame is placed on 6N/CVC for lack of FTA 6N, consider that the BBC literally can't afford it any more. ITV likely would not be able to afford it by themselves either.
