I will write something proper somewhere but the emetophobia toggle is SO special to me I can’t thank the team enough for their support on getting this set up 🥺 and to know this was on the list makes little me (and current me!) so happy 🥺💗 #gaconf #seaofthieves

Love seeing everyone fall in love with the accessibility options for Cairn. It is allowing more people to experience this phenomenal game when they probably wouldn’t in the first place.

Good luck reaching your the top. 🙏🏾

That’s incredible 🥹

I remember how underwhelmed people were when the first trailer reveal happened for this game

To see it now be one of the best received games of the year so far with good accessibility to boot is awesome

I want to talk about Cairn. It’s a game that would be impossible without its accessibility options. The unlimited resources option and turning off survival elements has made it able for me to really enjoy the game. Just look how far up the mountain I am in the game. I’m nearly to the top 🥺🤗

Love all the new accessibility options in games these days! Biggest one is disabling screen shake for me. Means I can play games that previously would have made me feel very ill.

Next stages are:
Searching all results rather than just the first 50
Theme options for comfort for visual users (currently Steam themed lol)
Add and organise other tags so its easier to search for demos or multiplayer games with accessibility tags
Add a way to export search results for sharing.

I don't care how good your game is if the text size is too small or I can't adjust it I uninstall and refund. Text size is an accessibility consideration, and as my eyes succumb to age and I lose my ability to read close text, a *ton* of games have become unplayable for me.
Kids, if you're making a game and want to run it on a steamdeck or switch

your text size needs to be bigger

no, bigger

c'mon coward, bigger!

what is this, A GAME FOR ANTS? BIGGER

Whose idea was it to make this mandatory to progress in the story? This is the kind of thing that makes Souls-Like games accessible... You guys are out of control.

Why do very few games offer text or UI scaling? Nobody ever takes into account nystagmus.

Playing Ratchet and Clank and it's been fantastic and even has a bunch of accessibility features but still doesn't let you scale the UI so I'm standing at the TV trying to read the weapon descriptions.

Ugh.

When I was a kid I had trouble with these sorts of games, but they're good music pedagogy, so I've making all the accessibility features I can think of. Today I extended it so that Delia can tell you what section you're on. (She also handles mistakes.) #indiegame #indiedev #gamedev #godot #music

Cairn continues to frustrate, dazzle, and delight me. It's tough, but the accessibility options make this playable for pretty much anyone's play style. The first must-play game of 2026 for sure.

I’m m so grateful for the accessibility options in Cairn because without them I wouldn’t be able to play this beautiful game. I really love the outdoors and this game has been a nice experience in expressing the beauty in nature 😊

I came back to my low vision mode as I approach the release of #HighwayNoir. Somehow I made it almost cel shaded but it does cut back on visual noise. Subtitles, tone tags, one-click start, speed slider and 'story so far' are all there. UI options are in progress

Fun fact: to make the dialogue font size scalable, we had a problem: sometimes the speech bubbles would get so big that they'd appear off screen 🙈

So to make this work we adjusted the camera position for most dialogues -- here's how the same scene looks with different settings:

one of the most common ones for me is turning the volume way down, and having a good set of volume options paired with a "general volume" option that controls all of it, is always a huge plus, because if I'm in a call or talking to someone, I need the game really quiet or I'll get overwhelmed
