If you share this you are probably extraordinarily attractive and people really, really like you, and think you are very interesting at parties.
All of your friends love your music recommendations, especially darkwave made by trans women in Portland.
Brilliant.

Calibrate your headphones to the Harman Curve and mix against pink noise, and you can make your crappy mix sound crappy in a way that also wastes more of your time.

You can learn a lot by looking at your Bandcamp stats.

Not necessarily things you wanted to know, but stuff that's kind of hard to argue with.

Once, Amazon was a newish idea, an online bookstore. It sold books. It was kind of convenient. Back then, they'd send you extra goodies in the box sometimes, and the people in the warehouse seemed happy enough to include little notes about the books you'd buy. "Great pick! I loved this one!"

Huh.

Texas friends:

(also I miss y'all.)
Because I'm on the ballot, this will be the first election since 2019 that I won't be an election judge. To make up for that, I'm going to give you the Insider tips on voting. Don't forget to donate to my campaign! Links can be found in my bio. Primary Election Day is March 3rd.

Hoarding wealth on a dying planet that needn't even be sick is a crime against all entities in this world. We cannot move forward while would-be titans are allowed to redirect finite resources without even a vote.
We must all decide this is criminal.
Abolish the billionaire class.

I love watching headphone reviews while wearing different headphones than the ones being reviewed.

What does it all mean?

The Project view in Studio One kinda messed me up for a while. I like it and think it's useful, especially to get a whole album to sound consistent.

But I think it got me into the "mastering" phase prematurely, judging by how much I went back to fix my mix. It's better to pretend it doesn't exist -

Windy PDX day, walking and listening to Yello.

"I wish the wind was cold
I wanna hold you baby hold
Only in your arms I'm lost
Don't look at me"

Every time on TV you see a singer in a treated room singing into the glass looking into the control room.

At least it's not a corner, I guess.

Ok, you didn't buy my other 3 albums so I am really going to make you sorry by making a fourth.

Take that.

I suppose there is some value in all of bluesky being pissed off about the exact same things that I am. It makes me feel betterworse.

Have you noticed this? I have.

"The news media doesn’t seem to know how to bring anything other than wide-eyed credulity to his utterances, even after all the lies and deceit of the past decade."

That's @sulliview.bsky.social at her site.

Dear media, stop acting like Trump means what he says

very excited to have my response included in the latest Boston Review forum against Democratic moderation! here it is, my best argument for why Dems shouldn't "moderate" on transgender rights & LGBTQ issues more generally (as they are inextricably linked): www.bostonreview.net/forum/how-no...
Trans rights aren’t tanking the Democrats.

Imagining ways the SAVE act would be used to make voting impossible for trans folx with correct or incorrect ID.

During the COVID lockdown, a lot of us went from the clubs to Twitch to watch DJs and find community and music and make new friends.

Just a few I like. You'll find more just through raid trains:

This whole situation is because of the expert manipulation of the extremely powerful emotion of fear.

And while I am afraid, I am going to really try hard not to be, because I don't like to be manipulated and I don't like to be useless.

Not being funny, I wonder how much the perceived promise of "free love" de-radicalized right wing dudes in the sixties and if there are studies.

Was Wordstar actually good or am I stuck in nostalgia for the old days?

I am easy to please though. I started with Bank Street Writer and Color Scripsit. Then PC Write and Word Perfect.

But I learned WS keys in Turbo Pascal. I had WS 1.0 on my Kaypro.

I kind of feel like some people say "trans women are women" but they really just mean they'll entertain the idea for argument's sake.

If that's where you are with this, think about it because that kind of thinking is killing us.

It plainly invalidates all driver's licenses held by trans people if they've changed their gender markers. It requires them to turn those licenses over.

They don't have a list to check but now any out trans person could be ratted out by family, friends or coworkers and have their licenses revoked.
