Fringe paper with yama guri from a fine steel nib. There is very little show-through.

Here is a Laban 325 fountain pen in the Cambridge color variation. It's a new favorite.

A green Delta Unica. I feel like this was an Anderson Pens exclusive resin but I am probably wrong.

I don't have words. Here's a fountain pen.

Moon Man / Majohn A1 retractable fountain pen. This is a nice Halloween pen in the right light but is more yellow than orange. I have a Pilot VP and two A1s, and like them all. Comfortable for my tripod grasp.

The Lamy Nexx is a light and comfortable fountain pen, that is, if you use a tripod grasp. The rubberized section is good for those with a writer's callus.

I was reluctant to ink it and may sell my Lamys in light of their Harry Potter line.

I don't want to alarm anyone but I realized I have never seen a photo of Stephen Miller and Russian space alien singer Vitas in the same room.

Probably nothing.

Dollar General pens and journal. Not bad really.

Black cap and endcap from a donor pen on an orange TWSBI Vac 700 body.

More Halloween pen energy. The pen isn't scary. The price tag of the pen it is inspired by is terrifying.

I feel like solving a murder on a steamship.

Broke out this orange and black Jinhao for Halloween
I know, it's August. It's how we roll in PDX.

Dollar Store Jot "Calligraphy" pens. With a (very) rigid 0.5mm nib thr calligraphy part is on you, but it actually is a smooth pen.

It took a lot of force to attach the cartridge, more than someone may be comfortable with.

Now the field is level. Write your hearts out.

A Faber-Castell Essentio, a mirror compact, and William Carlos Williams.

Bringing back the cult of Cybele seems like a reasonable solution.

If they are going to hate us let's at least form an elite priestess caste.

I've paid the price of admission, initiate me.

Sometimes a daily tarot is just too frequent to be helpful. I then might pull from Kipper, Lenormand, or watch clouds.

Today's Kipper shows an apt pairing. Get out of this situation. But when? Next holiday, maybe.

One of these is a Montblanc 146. It's actually the worst of the three because it leaks into the cap. Grr. Also pictured, Moon Man p136, Wing Sung 629.

Rewatching Flash Gordon (2007) because Gina Holden.

My Wing Sung 601 has accidental subtle line variation, especially when slightly dry. Pleasant mistakes.

The Dia 2 has kept my attention longer than I expected. Not a huge fan of the Sport, but I like some of the Students. This one is just a good solid hard worker with vintage looks.

Last day of the PNW pen show. I got this nice acrylic fountain pen turned by Roger Moore of Portland, OR. So many lovely chats. Tough choices. It was difficult not to buy another from Mike Green of Delano, MN.
