It’s worth remembering that, with few exceptions, Trump doesn’t have beliefs - only fleeting dispositional states. It is constitutively impossible for a person like that to “change his mind” or “make a U-turn.” Media should stop using that language.

Musk is everything the far right has claimed about Soros: a malevolent billionaire seeking to destroy self-determination around the world in favour of his own enrichment and deranged personal beliefs.
Musk is inciting violence on London's streets.Tommy Robinson is financed by US tech bros. These are all very direct attempts to destabilise the British state.

Starmer needs to stand up to this. A government that doesn't defend its country's values against these blatant attacks is not doing its job.
My colleague @thejohnsimpson.bsky.social has done a terrific deep dive into the financial links between US tech billionaires and Tommy Robinson

Well worth a read

We must not posthumously sanitize Charlie Kirk's hateful life
Opinion: While condemning violence is something most can get behind, the sanitization of Charlie Kirk's hate has gone too far, argues Erin Reed.

Baltic states know Russian occupation is never temporary
Land swaps and de facto annexation in Ukraine won’t bring peace and could lead to decades of brutal subjugation

Al Jazeera has said that two of its correspondents, including a prominent reporter, and three cameramen were killed in an Israeli strike on their tent in Gaza City on Sunday.

The Israeli military admitted to targeting Anas al-Sharif, the reporter it labelled as a "terrorist" affiliated with Hamas.

The biggest problem with such clickbaiting headline is actual Israel apologists with slightly better historical literacy can then defend Israel's action by claiming what Israel did is marginally better than some random atrocities in the past.
Israel’s war in Gaza combines a staggeringly high death rate, shocking violence toward children, unparalleled physical destruction, and now a world-historical famine.

The world has, by objective measure, never seen anything like this.

the worst kinds of people make these hyperbolic, provably false statements for the near sole purpose of leaving you, a rational and normal person, the unenviable task of arguing with them. it doesn't matter that they know it's a lie, they just want someone to fight with.

Every day they use drones to specifically target civilians for “target practice” & often post videos of them doing it proudly.

Today they targeted a 1 year old.
