This seems to me to mark another new low in Labour politics. From lying to obtain the leadership, to slandering the party's left, to complicity in genocide and now performative cruelty to hundreds of thousands of our citizens. Honest MPs should not stand for it.

I had the misfortune to watch Newsnight tonight. Reform, Tories, and a Starmerite. Discussion about how to persecute immigrants more, and the wickedness of making the rich pay tax. Where is the other half of the UK population in this? Where are the real issues? Climate crisis, inequality?
