Do as the images say and disable updates, and start looking for alternatives. If you value your privacy you need to abandon ship and tell them to fuck off. I'm gonna look at some options for my community. This is a dark era and it will only get worse

I am never giving you my private information or my face Discord" A Discord conversation detailing how you can avoid the update. Important text is as follows "To anyone wondering you can disable the auto update by going into your task manager, going to startup apps, finding the update program, and disabling it" An image showing the exact file called "Update" in the Task Manager. It is accompanied by a Discord message reading "It's this one btw, you can double check by right clicking and opening the file loacation. If it opens the Discord folder, it's correct" "You can also right click that file in folder as well, go to properties, and set it to read only"

I think I've figured out the core reason why I hate cinematic universes and live service games. They have no respect for film or video games as artistic media and view them purely as product. Any actual art that may come from either will only ever exist in spite of these models, not because of them.
