For me it's that I don't interact with the fandom as a whole. I interact with a few people about it and that's it. The fandoms I do interact with tend to be smaller or in Sailor Moon's case, old enough that a lot of the more notable controversies are mostly resolved.

One thing I really appreciate about Breaking Bad is how consequential everything feels. Every crime, atrocity, or otherwise bad decision made by one of the characters feels like it carries some kind of weight and relevance later on, never once coming off as something the show jusy shrugs off.
