Had some more off days in a row from the kitchen job lately and so I instantly stay up too late having fun making stuff for Puppy Truck. Yesterday it was time to make a new alligator clamp. Blue handle variant to follow.

I need to know the price of that steam frame badly.

Had some weird dreams today and then to top it off a mutual from here shows up in it and kisses me multiple times. Not saying who so each of you can enjoy the fantasy/nightmare of being the one.

Finished Strange Antiquities by @badvikinggames.bsky.social yesterday & just like it's predecessor I give it a heavy recommendation if you enjoy being a different sort of detective. (Or go go play Strange Horticulture first if you have not yet!)

Just finished re-watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit for the first time in decades & it's so easy to see why this would horrify me as a kid. What reads as a real person being run over slowly by a road roller while they scream? The practical effects mixed in with the toon stuff? The DIP meltin' em? Gee.

Yess, it's time to tango! I went to the other Spar store in town today for the first time and they had the good stuff! Also got a new cheese to try. Guess a cm slice of that is worth 4 apples.

My late mum's one year death anniversary is coming up soon and it makes me reflect on all the changes & happenings it caused, as well as looking to the future with what I've learned. One, I definitely can't do without making art & two I'm ultimately not suited to live a "normal" local life.

They revealed the full Warhammer Quest Dark Water box & I'm a bit relieved, yet mostly bummed that my prediction came true & my desire to acquire it has mostly vanished. Some minis are absolutely great & tempting (attached ones eg.), but too many I wouldn't even want to paint.

Shocked that there's a *Simpson* Fortnite season and they have just a regular old gun lineup instead of whacky cool stuff?

Next up some choo choo action. Modelling & unwrapping done, painting up the texture next.

Stayed up late again yesterday, this time for a little cannon with a roughed out texture.

Also realized my severe lack of experience with Cheese & so I'm getting a random one now and then. This piece from today has been ripened with red wine and I think I like it? Not even just caus the rind's purple.

Trying another type of apple to see how close they get to the Sweetango enjoyment. Sweet Explosion sounds good, but Fengapi Tessa here is a bit too hard and dense to give a snap and juice release worthy of that descriptor. Taste is good, tho I think it could do with a little more acidity.

One thing I didn't expect when getting a part time job as kitchen helper was that it would end up squatting on so much of my brainspace or cause emotional conflict. But then as some friends said to me "You think too much."

There's a massive hatch of wooly aphids right now and the Robins are here for it!

This Ms. knew the seeds on the Oregon Ash would make a picture perfect frame.

Sad to report that the recent discovery of Sweetango has ruined other apples for me. Bought some Pink Ladies that are good apples really, but just no comparison to the snap and joy that is Sweetango. Which I'll probably be able to get once a year if lucky from now on hah.

Question: If one is stupid enough to want to write longer-form than a social media post, but publicly, what is the best way to do that these days? I know a lot of folks use Substack, but that platform is very much cretin-aligned. Any other good alternatives?
