this is why I believe in the word so many folks are uncomfortable with…

I am happily and proudly a Faggot

bullying others? hating ppl? Thats lower case f slur behavior and we have no time for it
It makes the reinforcement of the closet by other gay people ostensibly in the closet ultra infuriating

Trump posted a video depicting the first Black president and his wife as apes and his excuse for this is that it's a riff on The Lion King, a movie that does not feature any apes. Somehow this was a one-day story and we've already moved on.

I just want every “Snapchat influencer” or whatever they might be known as, to know— you are exclusively a toilet watch

don’t feel bad tho cuz, like, otherwise I’d be reading or something?

Imma try and keep this short, but this is what i think is importantly historically. The 1960s civil rights laws and decisions were not technically "new legislation." it was a restoration of what already was.

It should be illuminating that prosecuting sex trafficking, the thing that prosecutors and police across the country have been using as a cash cow to fund surveillance and weaponry, is actually not something government prosecutors care about at all.
The system does not hold people accountable.

I’ve been doing a tolerance break for the month of February, as well as just kinda reevaluating my relationship w/ cannabis

its almost 7:30 PM and all the lights are off as I lay on the couch listening to the Immortal Otis Redding on vinyl and have a totally normal weep

good stuff, folks

when I worked at a school in Maine I had to explain at a staff meeting why I took issue w/ a student asking “is that a picture of Oprah?” when I was teaching about Norman Rockwell’s “The Problem We All Live With,” the painting depicting Ruby Bridges being escorted to an integrated school

Maine.
one of my biggest beefs w/ this country as a whole is the lazy coding of “the south is the racist part”

motherfuckers, you have got to be kidding me, excusing yourselves from any sort of introspection based on, what, geography?

this entire country has to contend with its racism, not just part.
I wonder why Southerners don’t get more pissed off at weird midwestern assholes like Kid Rock going around in Southern cosplay all the time.

if you want a boppy unfurling of all the complexities of hating the things some people are doing and still refusing to give up on people, might I recommend the AJJ song, fittingly called, “People?”

when you have imagery invoking the disgusting history of sugarcane plantations, Youre *almost* right— it is kinda an affront to the “greatness of America” cuz if that’s your legacy, you need to contend with what you think is “great” about that

as much as I love Mean Girls (I’m an elder millennial Faggot, so of course) I’ve never gotten the joke of this character

cuz like— she was right?

yesterday at the grocery store, had a wonderful conversation with a total stranger about not insisting we be the main characters of other people’s lives, taking time for more kindness and empathy

being so real when I say that kinda shit is what carries me through capitalism as our nation collapses

to all the racist bigots talking about deporting Bad Bunny— yall either get to have your legacy be racists or as colonizers* but the idea that you can deport someone to a US territory is part of why I’m none too keen on getting back into education

When you see unhoused people asking for money what you should see is a fracturing of the social contract where an issue (housing) that should be addressed on a municipal or statuary level is instead foisted on individuals in a way designed o put callouses on their souls
