People with disabilities make up 20% of our nations population. (1 in 4) Nearly 2.4 million black Americans are disabled. 35 million women are disabled. Indigenous Americans make up 38% of the disabled population. Don’t forget them in your conversations because the intersections are important
I would like to make it clear, from watching a small portion of 45 speaking on national tragedy today. When blaming DEI it was very, very blatant ableism. Let’s remember that disabled people make up a huge portion of intersectionality.
