Imagine praising a book in 2025 for being "sparse"? Look I enjoy sparse prose as much as the next, but we've been in a decades long Sparse Race of prose that you can increasingly just inhale like a delicate mousse and at some stage we will have to start making adjectives cool again

Gillian Flynn forever ♥️
KITTENTITS is out in paperback today! If you haven’t picked up @hollywilson.bsky.social's weird and wonderful debut, now is a great time. Molly is one of the most memorable young female characters I’ve ever met, and I just LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!

This is a subskeet of like 6 essays I've read recently but "I'm angry the author wrote about different kinds of experiences and ideas instead of writing a book that reflects my exact feelings and preferences and beliefs back to me" isn't really an interesting critique.

If you're looking for an excellent fecking book to read, I'd highly recommend Holly J Wilson's KITTENTITS. I can't possibly say enough good things about it.
No spoilers, but it may not be for the faint of heart. Definitely the best book I've read in a good long while.

One of the best first-person novels I’ve ever read.
This book actually exists, and it gives me hope for the world (based on the title and cover alone). Thanks for giving me hope, Books on the Square in Providence. @hollywilson.bsky.social

@olgaz.bsky.social wrote a great review of Kittentits for The Commons that made me think about my own book in new ways. Thank you, Olga!
So excited to see my review of @hollywilson.bsky.social unbelievable novel Kittentits in the @commonmag.bsky.social. It is seriously the wildest, the most incredible book you'll ever read, and it is full of dirty nails and love. (I can't help falling into Wilsonesque prose when talking about it!!)
"Wilson’s novel ... is a carnivalesque feast."

A World's Fair, necromancy, and a rowdy 10-year-old star in Holly Wilson's KITTENTITS. Don't miss Olga Zilberbourg's, full review live now at TC Online. ⤵️ @olgaz.bsky.social

Republic of Letters in Mineral Point, WI is such an amazing, well-curated bookstore. There's even a cooking school in the back!
We had a great reading and discussion last night with Holly Wilson, author of KITTENTITS.

KITTENTITS is an imaginative, wild, sweet, and filthy fever dream of a book. It's really pointless to try to describe it, but it is one of the most memorable books I've read in a long time.

one of the weirder coming-of-age novels out there, molly wilson's "kittentits" details the life of the rambunctious ten-year-old molly who befriends a twenty-three-year-old, dirt bike riding ex-con who seems to be someone finally on molly's level

Fantastic—and damning—new story up in National Catholic Reporter about our union efforts at Marquette. A few of us members lay out all our cards. A union wouldn’t just be nice, it’d be life changing.

Today am trying to rearrange my spatial concept of time so it's vertical instead of horizontal, the past/future not behind or in front but on the y axis instead. It's hard, tho. Will report back if I'm successful.

There's a bevy of posts circulating of famous sculptures with the question of WHY DON'T WE SEE THIS KIND OF TALENT ANYMORE and the answer is you don't support the arts, assholes. Those artists had patrons. They could work all day to perfect their craft without worrying about food and housing.
