We must stand resolutely against political assassination and political violence of all kinds, and just as resolutely against everyone who exploits acts of violence as the pretext or excuse for political repression of political opponents.

Listening to a podcast where a well known tech world wannabe fascist calls journalism "nonconsensual invasion of privacy for profit" and thinks that's clever and my goodness does that reveal a lot of how completely brain wormed a bunch of these guys are once they faced a tiny bit of criticism.

As a former Texas State Rep, let me be clear: LOCKING Rep. Nicole Collier inside the chamber is beyond outrageous.

Forcing elected officials to sign “permission slips” & take police escorts to leave? That’s not procedure. That’s some old Jim Crow playbook.

“Liberation Day” in DC? More like occupation. This is absurd and Trump’s characterization of my city is simply false. We know how to govern ourselves and we don’t like being used as a prop to distract from failed leadership and the Schmepstein Tiles.
A rambling and incoherent Trump wants to turn DC into his personal police state despite a 30-year low in crime.

He's a pathetic wannabe dictator who wants to distract you from his connection to the Epstein files, skyrocketing costs, and his weak job numbers.

Don't let him.
Trump announces he's placing the DC police department "under direct federal control" and deploying the National Guard in the city

IF you actually cared about decreasing the crime rate in DC, this is not where you'd patrol. This is about getting B-roll footage for the right wing media ecosystem. As with everything, this is theater. We are all living in The Apprentice: DC edition.
Drug Enforcement Administration officers patrolling the National Mall.

If you know DC you understand how tremendously goofy this is

The difference is Long was actually Trump's pick and only had his "ceremonial" swearing in 3 weeks ago. The question is: what happened? Long has already killed the Direct File program that saves people tax filing costs and IRS already was cooperating with ICE.
There have been five different heads of the IRS this year alone:

Doug O'Donnell (Jan. 20th thru Feb. 28th)
Melanie Krause (Feb. 28th thru April 16th)
Gary Shapley (April 16th thru April 18th)
Michael Faulkender (April 18th thru June 16th)
Billy Long (June 16th thru today)

About to be a sixth.
Breaking News: President Trump is removing the head of the IRS from his job, according to four people familiar with the matter.

Given her track record, I'm not sure Ghislane Maxwell's definition of doing something "concerning" is the same as you or me. Who could have guessed that the convicted human trafficker serving 20 years would exonerate the one person who can get her out of prison?
Ghislaine Maxwell told DOJ Trump never did anything concerning around her: Sources
During her interview with the DOJ last month, former Jeffrey Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell said nothing that would be harmful to President Trump, sources say.

Yes/and…rebuilding should mean reimagining our government for the 21st century so we don’t recreate the exact same system but find areas for reinvention.
It seems to me that Dems need to amass as much knowledge they can about how the government is being corrupted and vandalized, and then use that knowledge to rebuild as quickly as possible once in power. Should have nothing to do with the pissing match between the groups and the popularists.
Put another way: Project 2025 let right-wing legal groups sketch out the agenda for a new GOP DOJ.

Do you think "Project 2029" will hand the DOJ section to the ACLU? No. The opposite. It's about getting a Dem message disconnected from left-wing groups.
