The media is culpable for Trump’s reelection. Even previously impartial news orgs seemed to bend their standards to paint Trump in a less worse light. I hope all news orgs take a hit on viewership, and their bottom line.Time to exercise our quiet resistance and abandon the news orgs that failed us.

We are upset, like many, that the ACA tax credits are not restored in this “deal” to reopen the govt. But let’s be clear why: the Rs refused to budge as the hunger & aviation crises worsened. Let’s be clear who is hurting working families. The AFT will keep fighting www.aft.org/press-releas...
AFT’s Weingarten Responds to Key Vote to End Shutdown
WASHINGTON—AFT President Randi Weingarten issued the following statement responding to the Senate’s key vote on reopening the federal government:

Dems need to take credit for doing our jobs by negotiating and getting the gov’t open. GET UNITED WITH THIS MESSAGING!!!
November 10, 2025 at 1:23 PM
No matter what Dems need to get united on their messaging. The Republicans are causing the ACA subsidies debacle, full stop. Mike Johnson should be repeatedly called out for his ineptitude. At least Thune got people together to vote.

We need to hammer our wins in the election as well.

There are cons with the Senate pay pkg but we do need the gov’t open.

I’d rather see gov’t workers paid than MAGAs get their ACA subsidies, they voted for this.

I want kids to benefit from SNAP being fully funded.

Let’s punish the real villains of the healthcare crisis: insurance companies.
November 10, 2025 at 1:07 PM
Insurance companies are thrilled. Once again we’ve all been distracted by Reps vs Dems on ACA subsidies.

We should be screaming about THE REASON WE HAVE THE SUBSIDIES IS BECAUSE OF THE GREED OF INSURANCE COMPANIES.

We have allowed distractions, AGAIN, to keep us from the truth.

Why are more people not seeing the obvious? Vought and other Project 2025 proponents are running the show. Ending SNAP, healthcare subsidies, Medicaid are all practice for ending social security. P2025 preaches no money from the federal gov’t go to the people.

And it’s not just the money…🧵

Renewing a call for cancelling spring break vacations as a form of protest. Let’s do it.

Realizing that Trump has the record of being the only President who has been twice impeached, and also now for the 2nd time, has the record for presiding over the longest gov’t shutdown in US history.

Dubious distinctions for sure. He simply cannot govern. SAD!

If anyone needed another reminder of how deeply unpopular the Trump-MAGA Republican agenda is, tonight was the night.

But we cannot relent and we cannot become complacent.

The midterms are right around the corner.

Thank goodness for the positive result on Prop 50 and for all of the other Dem wins. Thank you to all who voted. This is the first day in a long time that I feel hope about Americans fighting back against fascism. Thank you. 💙

And very nice to see that Trump’s endorsements continue to mean nothing.

Monday Motivation: please let there be one un-pathetic mainstream news org who will hopefully report on how low the ratings were for 60 Minutes last night (even though I hate all MSM and they all should be boycotted)

No one talks enough about how the greedy insurance companies are to blame for the ACA subsidies debacle. Why do they get to increase premiums and increase deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums? We all know why: because Republicans always aid and abet corporate greed.

Wait, did they edit an interview? Did they not air every second?

I heard that’s grounds for a multimillion lawsuit
I see that CBS chose not to air this part. It probably explains much of what they did decide to air.

Losing SNAP is terrible. But the hand wringing is frustrating.

Project 2025 CLEARLY said that all federal handouts need to be eliminated.

Trump voters voted for this.

Project 2025 was available to read for free months before the 2024 election.

Social security elimination will be up soon.
October 28, 2025 at 11:22 AM
It is mostly Republicans’ faults that we even have to have credits for ACA users to use. The federal gov’t having to step in and pay the greedy insurance companies the difference between what they’re really charging for ACA and what people are paying is ludicrous. 🧵
