One of the greatest errors in K-12 education, in my opinion, is prioritizing trigonometry and calculus over statistics. Yes, trig and calc are important for many professions. Statistics are important for literacy.

Kennedy on a media tear to make it seem like he’s got widespread support. The anti-vaxx movement has been very very good at using social media to appear huge, when it has in fact been a small but vocal and well-organized minority with opinions way outside the mainstream. Unclear whether it’ll work.

A platform where Jamelle Bouie is one of the most influential and respected people is one that is going to cause discomfort for a certain kind of liberal (or person who thinks they are liberal). Yes, Bouie is black, but what these people really reject is strong criticism of America's status quo.
