Poor Pete, poor Robin. I interviewed RG in 2002 straight after he'd walked out of a BBC Radio interview with Mark Lawson. So much time was spent convincing him I wasn't there to do another stitch-up job. I don't think he full believed me until I told him of my love for 1985's Walls Have Eyes.
I haven't posted any links to recent posts on my Patreon site, but here are two or three you may enjoy. First up, did I ever tell you about the time one of my all-time heroes angrily terminated an interview with me? www.patreon.com/posts/with-f...

Starmers mortifying efforts to placate this freak have inevitably blown up in his face. What a dreadfully weak man he truly is.
President Trump on Tuesday accused Britain of “an act of great stupidity” for agreeing to end British sovereignty over the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean, in a blow to Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s attempts to cultivate the president.
Trump Calls Britain’s Chagos Deal ‘Act of Great Stupidity,’ in Blow to Starmer
President Trump’s criticism reversed his administration’s previous support for the deal, in which Britain relinquished control of the Indian Ocean islands to Mauritius.

in re Scott Walker, of late the album that I come back to the most is "Climate of Hunter," which can be as weird & unsettling as Tilt & The Drift at times. Its pristine high-end Eighties sound is as if Scott's seized control of a Dire Straits record
