WHAT IS BILL 33:
‼️ Bill 33 gives the Minister of Education power to remove locally elected school trustees and replace them with unelected government appointees. This silences parents and communities by taking away their say in decisions that affect their children's schools. (2/4)

Bill 33 just passed, to much applause and back-slapping from Team Ford.

Say goodbye to public education in Ontario.

It will follow public healthcare, into the past.

Most people won't understand what has happened until it's all gone.

As intended.

I’ll be voting against Bill 33, again, today.

Bill 33 is a power-grab that centralizes control, sidelines local voices, and opens the door to political interference from child welfare to K-12 to post-secondary.

Students, families, and educators deserve better. #onpoli #onted

The Department of Education is parceling off its main offices and giving their responsibilities to other federal agencies.

Much of the funding for K-12 and colleges is being handed over to—wait for it—the Department of LABOR.

Because what else is education good for apart from producing workers?😞

The Trump administration is breaking the law by transferring critical work to federal agencies that lack the expertise to lead education policy.

Congress must immediately intervene to stop this illegal restructuring and protect our students' right to an education.

Momentum builds for new leadership!
Now is the time to fight, not surrender. 🗣️

Schumer must step down from his post as minority leader and allow for new leadership to emerge—someone who is willing to consistently fight for the American people.
