Increasingly Australian; bloody oath. Gen X-Wing. Shared my ADHD with my anchor baby.
Genuine question. Has there been a greater comic than 2000AD? Honestly, you can stick your Batmen and Superdudes and Insectfellas in a sack, none of them hold a candle to the raw thrill power that Tharg and the team have come up with these past 50 years. That’s all. Move along. @2000ad.bsky.social

Shit, just realised that the little shit from that Twilight Zone episode grew up to be President of the United States. Bugger.

The first 15 minutes of Empire Strikes Back is like a Hoth fauna apocalypse… Tauntaun being ripped apart or freezing to death, lonely Wampa being brutalised and sliced up with lightsabers then left to die… it’s not the Empire that needs to intervene, it’s the RSPCA.

Hard truth. And I love the Enterprise.
The Eagle is so much cooler than the Enterprise.

When I was 12 I wrote a short story during an English Lit exam in which the US was at war with Europe because the US was being run by a lunatic fascist president. Granted it was poorly written (I was 12), but my teacher downgraded me because it was ‘utterly preposterous’. Up yours Miss Carter!!!

Just listing some duplicated on eBay and to double down on Colin’s love of McMahons covers - I mean seriously, this is just exceptional. Not to mention how much I have always adored these Titan reprints. They always have seemed just PERFECT for reading classic 2000AD.

Loved Kaiju No.8 as I have so many anime this past 12 months. Smashed through Battleship Yamato, Legend of the Galactic Heroes, Chainsaw Man, a few series of Gundam, Bukurano and Psycho-Pass and everyone has been absolutely incredible.

It would be more accurate if they were immediately running for cover from active shooters, all the while thinking ‘If I get shot I hope I die because I can’t afford a lengthy stay in hospital.’ And then have republicans blame for ‘stealing the bullets’ with their bodies.
There honestly cannot be a satire cutting enough to make fun of Americans. What the fuck do you mean the highest colonial ideal you could imagine was a parking lot with McDonald's on both sides

In no way have I ever considered myself ‘cool’ or ‘counterculture’ but I did drop acid and go see this in a crappy cinema in Liverpool when it came out… like a sad grungy loner hero

Was disappointed that the final hour of the Stranger Things wasn’t set in present day with the now 50-year-olds suffering from mental health challenges caused by untreated trauma because they were kids in a time where support for that was in its infancy… y’know like the rest of us.

Dumb cunt wanks on about shit he knows fuck all about and just makes things worse for women who may already feel they are failing by not breastfeed.

In Australia the drop out rate for new mums breastfeeding is around 30%. Formula is an amazing alternative; although fucking exxy!
RFK Jr: "All of the ingenuity of corporate America has not produced an infant formula that is superior in nutrition and all the qualities that we want to the infant formula that God made, which is the infant formula in a mother's breast."

Fair call. I’m always a bit sus of dudes that really rate QT. He’s a tad ‘gateway’.
As a 45 year-old man I know I'm supposed to like Quentin Tarantino but I do not.
doesn't matter what QT or anyone else says when getting cast in Twin Peaks: The Return - and doing phenomenal work in it - guarantees you entry into heaven @ogmatthewlillard.bsky.social
