Maybe on a local level, in a few places but not nationally. Sometimes people who support all those things tend not to vote, because they get pissed that their one social cause is not front and center. So they ended up not voting, or protest voting.
If AOC or someone like her started a progressive party that ran on things like universal healthcare, UBI, protections for immigrants and LGBTQIA people, antiracism, etc., I (and I imagine many others) would gleefully organize and vote for that party, like I think it might actually work

When they start going to states like Kansas, Iowa, Ohio...states Dems need to start winning, then I'll give it the attention it deserves. The below is just another example of D's going to a friendly place for a photo op.
March 22, 2025 at 9:07 PM
This is so dumb. People who think like this have learned nothing about why D's continue to lose elections since 2016. Just think for a second about who would get blamed if D's didn't allow this to pass? The economy is going to into recession, and now it will completely fall in the laps of R's.

Here is a colored map of the United States that shows the gun deaths per 100,000 in 2023. The ALT page has a list of states with the number of people in the state per gun store. I went to the online Yellow Pages and searched for gun store in each state, it took about an hour to count.🧪💡☠️

Just awful: One of the inspector generals that Trump fired was examining Elon Musk's failures to meet reporting protocol designed to safeguard national security as a major recipient of Pentagon contracts.

It's time to follow up on that. New piece from me:

Did Trump Quietly Kill a Sensitive Pentagon Probe into Elon Musk?
The New York Times revealed last year that Musk and SpaceX failed to meet federal reporting requirements for Pentagon contractors. No one has asked: What’s going on with that today?

Articles of impeachment ....ugh. Still using the same old play book thinking the results will be different.
Better than a strongly worded letter. Not as good as articles of impeachment.

(Yes, I know they don't have the votes to impeach. Doesn't mean they shouldn't be drafting articles every day over & over again. They don't have the votes to pass this legislation either, but the ACTION is what matters."
Schumer: "Today Leader Jeffries and I are joining together to push legislation to prevent unlawful meddling in the Treasury Department's payment systems and protect Americans across the country ... we call our legislation, 'stop the steal'"

To say I'm disapointed in the response to the 2024 election by leadership (DNC and Politicians) is an understatement. I could not be more disapointed, they have learned nothing about why we lost, and messeging. @kenmartin.bsky.social

Holy Shit 🤯

Tennesse Republicans want to charge elected officials who vote against Trump's immigration policy with a felony punishable by up to 6 years in prison.

This provision sets a dangerous precedent of penalizing any elected official for voting their conscience.

Everything is extremely chaotic but the best info we have so far suggests that Trump’s “stop funding” EO would cover:

Medicaid
ESSA funds
IDEA
Snap
School meals
WIC
Head start grants
Child care block grants
Pell grants
Student loans
Higher Ed grants
Housing vouchers
CTE

Devastating beyond words.

The long and short of it: We won the auction and — you're not going to believe this — the previous InfoWars folks aren't taking it well.
