THERE IS NO “DEFAULT” PERSON A note to GMs on representation: there’s an unfortunate tendency in written media for an audience to assume that a character is white if there isn’t a stated skin color, straight if there isn’t a stated sexuality, cis if they’re not stated to be trans, and so on. But Calliope is a diverse place, so keep in mind that even if it's not stated, a character’s sexuality, gender, ability, neurotype and skin color can be broader than cis, male, able, neurotypical and white. This book is written with that idea in mind. This is important to state plainly. Part of making fictional worlds enjoyable for your audience is ensuring they’re able to see people like themselves represented within them. A story doesn’t have to be about diversity for diversity to be important.

Tonight’s #drawing grew partly from the werewolf’s facial expression. When I played a Black Fury the all women part was less interesting to me than the Greek part, so I made up some lore about them, including tongue out (like a gorgon’s head) being a formal challenge. #bskyart
