Don't know if anyone else felt this way, but I found Bring Her Back quite moving. I was in tears as credits rolled. Obviously can't say much b/c spoilers, but how far we will go, how much of ourselves we will give up, the terrible things we will do for love...Sally Hawkins was just incredible.

Clive Barker's Thief of Always is just a perfect scary kids book. I remember reading it as a kid and being 100% creeped out. Rereading now and the creepy factor is still high, but now I'm appreciating the sheer beauty of the writing.

I've had Roth's Sabbath's Theater on my TBR for forever and have finally started it. It is aggressively heterosexual and frankly icky and I'm not sure if it's worth continuing.

If Dems fail to make Signal leak an incessant story demanding resignations/impeachment, it would be a mirror image of Benghazi, her emails, etc. In face of GOP zone-flooding, Dems cowered instead of calling bullshit; now when GOP says Signal leak is NBD, a failure to push back would be catastrophic.

FINALLY watched Fall of the House of Usher by Mike Flanagan and it is delightful. Eight episodes of rich assholes getting exactly what they deserve in the most horrific ways possible. It felt absolutely cathartic.

A truly awful day for movies and art, losing one of the most singular and brilliant voices to ever make them.

We've unlocked our full David Lynch issue from 2017, which is now entirely free to read.

R.I.P. Mr. Lynch, and thank you forever for the work and example you left us.

The Musk Foundation is one of the US's largest charities and Elon Musk has received huge tax benefits. But the foundation isn't doling out as much $ as is legally required.

When it does give, that $ often goes to causes benefitting his own interests. We investigated: www.nytimes.com/2024/03/10/u...
