Honored and grateful to @erikadreifus.bsky.social for including a link to my @therevealer.bsky.social review of Hurwitz’s AS A JEW in her weekly Machberet blog. Certainly a Jewish book to be celebrated, IMHO.

The many forms resistance takes.
Yesterday at the farmer’s market I saw a vendor quietly give food to someone whose EBT (SNAP) card didn’t have enough money on it.

People helping people because the president and his administration refuse to.

Even when court-ordered.

If you’re going to have a nice Shabbat dinner tonight and you can do so, please consider a contribution to @mazonusa.bsky.social or to your local food bank. An early Shabbat Shalom and a good weekend to all who are appalled by the withholding of SNAP benefits.

Other than finishing the fucking thing, my favorite part of the marathon was two finishers - one running with an Israeli flag in a batman costume to honor the Beibas kids and one running with a Palestinian flag - taking a post-race photo together for peace and human rights for all. I teared up.

Preparing my English majors career pathways book for production and wondering if the chapter that talks about the genesis of the book and includes chapter summaries as well as how different audiences might make use of the book should be a preface or introductory chapter. Thoughts?

An entire feminist generation relied on and wrestled with Chodorow's writings on women's psychic development in relation to their mothers. May her memory be for a blessing.
