Hello. If you’re keen to #RejoinEU and, like me, will never ‘get over’ #Brexit, do feel free to connect; and give me a nudge if I haven’t returned the compliment! I miss my old community but can’t wait finally to ditch Twitter altogether.

Mark Carney will be the new PM of Canada. He was the Governor of the Bank of England who warned against Brexit. He's been proven right on Brexit, proven right on the rise of fascism, and he's being proven right on his longtime warnings against Trump.

Mark Carney wins the Liberal leadership race with 85.9%!

A heartening image in disheartening times.

But this is where hope lies… in cooperation and unity with our European neighbours and old allies.
Not in strutting nonsense about “buccaneering” independence (aka impoverishing isolation).
And certainly not in trusting America.

Lying liars and the lies that they told.

There is no question that the leave campaign lied through its teeth.

Legally, that means nothing now, of course: Brexit is settled under European law.

But is there a moral case to say the British electorate were innocent? Let's look at the lies

Unbelievable. These clowns call themselves patriots whilst simultaneously suggesting that we bend over and sell our country to Donald f**king Trump?!

Also why does Littlejohn’s photo resemble the mugshot of a rioter arrested for burning down an asylum hotel?

We need to rejoin the EU. Fast.

It’s relentless.
Never forget how the Daily Fail have spent years fueling the far-right.

This has never been about news. It's about spreading race hate and inciting violence.

We should call this what it is: a lie.

Rejoining the single market would be good for growth. Labour knows that and only won't do it because it believes it will be bad for Labour.

I doubt any Troll here who’s trying to smear ⁦Keir Starmer about decade-old events will be interested to read these pages from my book about his record prosecuting rape gangs. But he’s done more to bring them to justice than Farage, Yaxley-Lennon - or Musk -will ever do.

Today is an object lesson in the radicalisation of the British right-wing press. Britain is being disparaged and insulted by a foreign far-right conspiracy theorist. But the Mail, the Express, the Telegraph and even the Times choose focus their criticisism on the British prime minister instead.

This is important & necessary. I’d add only that a) It’s clear many of the political & media figures deliberately ignoring these facts are playing with the sort of fire we saw on our streets this summer & b) Laura Kuenssberg’s failure to point this out to Farage was an appalling dereliction of duty.
Some people in recent days have alleged a ‘cover-up’ over the grooming & rape of hundreds of young girls in predominantly northern UK towns, leading to calls for a ‘national’ public inquiry into child sexual exploitation
